Electronic Device Use

The use of electronic devices in the classroom is prohibited. (eg mobile telephones, IPods)

John Tonkin College Under the Department of Education Behaviour Management in Schools policy, all specialist electronic devices must be turned off and stored in a student's bag during class time and when in the library.

Failure to comply with this policy will result in the offending electronic device being removed. Repeat offences will be referred to the appropriate Level 3 HOLA or Student Services for appropriate action.

The recording, distributing or uploading of images or videos of students, parents or staff on school premises without the permission of the Principal is prohibited.

Students found to be involved in recording, distributing or uploading inappropriate images or videos will be suspended immediately.
