Location and travel
John Tonkin College is situated in central Mandurah, 63 kilometers south of Perth, Western Australia. Mandurah, once a small seaside community is now a thriving city surrounded by the beautiful marine environment. The name Mandurah is derived from the Noongar word of the Bindjareb people ‘Mandjoogoordap,’ meaning ‘meeting place of the heart.’
The school is situated on two main campuses; Tindale Campus on Gibla Street caters for Years 7 to 9 and MET (Mandurah Education and Training) Campus on Education Drive caters for Years 10 to 12. In addition to this, we have a Marine Centre located in Dawesville on the shore of the Peel-Harvey inlet.
Both main campuses are easily accessible by public transport, private vehicle, or on bike/foot.
